Amy Galper, Co-Founder of the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies, understands the therapeutic and healing power of scent. As an in-demand NYC-based aromatherapist, Amy knows how to harness essential oils to help with stress, sleep, and beauty. She has also relied on plants in a powerful way in her own life.

At 30, she was diagnosed with a mysterious autoimmune disease that threatened her kidney function. At that moment, she decided to let plant-based healing guide her choices with food and also what she put on her body. Devoted to natural beauty, her new book Plant-Powered Beauty: The Essential Guide to Using Natural Ingredients for Health, Wellness, and Personal Skincare which she co-wrote with aromatherapist Christina Daigneault features 50 plant-based skincare DIY recipes.

Amy shares two of her favorite skin-enhancing masks with justBOBBI readers. The Fresh Anti-Inflammatory & Brightening Facial Mask does just that, while the Fresh Enzyme Facial Mask promises to help skin repair from acne, stress, and exposure to sun and pollution.
