“Cool is an attitude that comes from a state of mind. It happens when you're truly comfortable with who you are and what you have to offer.”

- Jenni Lee

Welcome to Lessons In Cool, a new series all about the people we’re constantly inspired by. They are tastemakers, curators of style, thought leaders, and well, just cool.

Meet Jenni Lee, the founder and creative director of Comme Si, a luxury accessories brand that launched in February 2019 with a collection of beautifully made socks. One scroll through the brand’s Instagram and it’s impossible not to want a pair of socks, which come in luxe materials like Mongolian cashmere, Egyptian cotton, and merino wool. Lee’s entrepreneurial spirit (she was on the founding team at Harry’s) and creative vision are why you’ve seen Comme Si on everyone from model Elsa Hosk to actress Katie Holmes — and she's just getting started. We caught up to ask the founder to share what cool means to her.

What does “cool” mean to you?

Cool is an attitude that comes from a state of mind. It happens when you're truly comfortable with who you are and what you have to offer. I don't know if anyone is truly 100% cool as we all have vulnerabilities, but I do think we get closer to it as we mature and age.
