When wearing a statement lip color, make sure you start with a liner. Lip liners help define lips with a thin line of lasting color around or underneath your lipstick. Here are some of my tips when it comes to lip liner and lipstick:

Don’t Overline

There isn’t one way to apply lipstick, but no matter how you do it, keep the color within the natural lines of your lips. It will be more flattering, I promise.

Make it Last

To keep your lip color lasting all day (and night), fill in the entire lip with a liner before you apply your color. It will act as a base for your color and help it last longer. Use a color that matches your natural lip color.

Always Match

Apply liner after your lipstick for definition and easier application. Just make sure the color matches your lip color exactly.

Start in the Corner

Make sure your liner starts all the way in the inner corner of the mouth for a complete look.
